Westport, California Westport is positioned in California Westport - Westport Westport (formerly Beall's Landing) is an unincorporated improve in Mendocino County, California. It is positioned on California State Route 1 near the Pacific Ocean 13 miles (21 km) north of Fort Bragg, at an altitude of 125 feet (38 m). The first postal service at Westport opened in 1879. Originally called Beall's Landing with respect to Samuel Beall, its first white settler, the place was retitled in 1877 by James T.
