Nice is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, California, United States. Nice is positioned 4.5 miles (7.2 km) southeast of Upper Lake, at an altitude of 1362 feet (415 m). The populace was 2,731 at the 2010 census, up from 2,509 at the 2000 census.

The town was originally called Clear Lake Villas, until Charles William Bayne retitled the place after his former hometown, Nice, France, around 1930. The Nice postal service opened in 1930. According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the CDP has a total region of 1.7 square miles (4.4 km2), all of it land.

The 2010 United States Enumeration reported that Nice had a populace of 2,731.

The populace density was 1,580.9 citizens per square mile (610.4/km ).

437 homeholds (35.4%) were made up of individuals and 165 (13.4%) had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The populace was spread out with 505 citizens (18.5%) under the age of 18, 238 citizens (8.7%) aged 18 to 24, 549 citizens (20.1%) aged 25 to 44, 926 citizens (33.9%) aged 45 to 64, and 513 citizens (18.8%) who were 65 years of age or older.

There were 1,652 housing units at an average density of 956.3 per square mile (369.2/km ), of which 711 (57.6%) were owner-occupied, and 523 (42.4%) were occupied by renters.

35.6% of all homeholds were made up of individuals and 15.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

In the CDP, the populace was spread out with 23.1% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 22.2% from 25 to 44, 27.1% from 45 to 64, and 21.7% who were 65 years of age or older.

About 16.1% of families and 25.4% of the populace were below the poverty line, including 43.3% of those under age 18 and 5.2% of those age 65 or over.
