Clearlake, California Location inside Lake County and California Location inside Lake County and California Clearlake is a town/city in Lake County, California. Clearlake is 4.5 miles (7.2 km) north-northwest of Lower Lake, at an altitude of 1417 feet (432 m). As of the 2010 census, the town/city had a total populace of 15,250, up from 13,142 at the 2000 census.

The Clearlake postal service opened in 1923, "Knocti" then Clearlake Highlands until incorporation in 1981 when the official name became City of Clearlake.

According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 10.6 square miles (27 km2), of which, 10.1 square miles (26 km2) of it is territory and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) of it is water.
